Credits
What Puni-paid generation costs, how welcome credits work, and where to see purchases, refunds and activity.
Credits pay for generation using Puni's provider keys, where those keys are available. Your own keys spend no Puni credits; OpenAI or fal bills your model calls separately.
Open in Puni to open these settings.
#See the total before you start
| Provider steps paid by Puni | Credits |
|---|---|
| None; both steps use your own keys | 0 |
| Prompt picture only; the mesh uses your fal key | 1 |
| Mesh from a supplied picture, or a picture made with your OpenAI key | 3 |
| Both the prompt picture and the mesh | 4 |
The sculpt form shows the total before submission. Splitting a Puni-paid sculpt into named parts is included in its mesh charge for three runs (the split and two re-rolls); after that, splitting it again needs your own fal key.
#Welcome and balance
Open Settings → Credits to see your balance and recent activity. Opening the page grants three welcome credits once per account. A first paid sculpt can also grant them if you have not received them yet.
Three credits cover one sculpt from a supplied picture. A prompt using both Puni providers costs four, so the welcome amount alone does not cover that run.
#Buy more
When checkout is configured, choose a pack in Settings → Credits and follow checkout. The return page waits for payment confirmation before treating the purchase as complete. Recent activity records the credited purchase.
If checkout is unavailable, the page says so and you cannot buy a pack. Your own provider keys remain a separate way to generate. Do not treat a checkout return page alone as confirmation that credits arrived; check the balance and activity.
#Hosted renders
Renders on Puni’s machine also use credits: 50 stills a day are free, then 1 credit per still. Path-traced renders, film frames and pictures wider or taller than 1024 px cost 1 credit each. A render that is not delivered is returned. The meter applies only where the deployment turns it on.
#Failed sculpts and refunds
When a paid sculpt is recorded as failed, its credits are returned once. Check recent activity for the refund; purchases refunded or disputed, and renders not delivered, also show there. If the job is still pending or the balance has not updated, keep the job and payment details when seeking help.
