Plugins and skills
What exists today for teaching a coding client about Puni, and how a skill differs from a connected tool.
A local Puni plugin package supplies a skill for the command line. A skill teaches a workflow; it does not by itself connect tools to your account. Remote tools require an MCP connection, successful sign-in and consent, and tool discovery in the host.
#Today
- Every page of these docs has Copy for LLM and a Markdown twin at the same address with
.mdadded. Paste a page into a client's context to teach it a surface. - The documentation index lists every guide; complete documentation holds the whole corpus.
- The command line is a preview for Puni's own team: it builds from Puni's private repository (
pnpm -C apps/cli build, thennode apps/cli/bin/run.js) and is not published to npm. - The MCP server sends its own instructions on connect, so a client that speaks MCP learns the working loop without a prompt.
- Remote clients connect through Puni's sign-in and consent flow. Claude web has completed a scene and PNG check; the connection guide names the other checks still pending. Read Connect Puni.
#Teaching a workflow of agents
A coding client that fans work out to several agents needs three rules beyond the tools:
- Read the contract once in the parent and pass what it learned to every agent as a file. A workflow whose agents each read
read_contractand mine saved modules spends most of its calls learning the same grammar. - One milestone per batch, one batch onto the revision the worker read. The owner watches each revision land with the label on its checkpoint, so make the label say what changed, in their words.
- Read the revision the last batch made, or the owner's if they saved in between, before sending the next; a stale revision is refused rather than merged.
Read Prompts for the loop in full.
#Distribution
Puni's public directory listings are not confirmed here. Custom MCP setup is available separately; follow the connection guide for your client. A local plugin install, a remote MCP connection and a ChatGPT connector each need their own setup.
If Puni is mentioned but has no tools, check whether the installed package declares an MCP server. Then verify sign-in, consent and the host's available tools.
Read Connect Puni for what works now.
