Puni 101
Your first scene, start to finish: describe it, shape one object, give it motion, save, and share a link.
A scene is a small world: objects on a stage, a camera, a length of time, and the motion inside it. This guide makes one from an empty library to a link someone else can open. It takes about ten minutes.
#Open the library
Sign in at puni.design. The library is the first thing you see: your scenes as tiles and a search.
#Create a scene
Press + next to your avatar and choose New scene. Add an object with + in the objects rail, then Add object…, or use a connected agent to author it.
#Shape an object
Select an object by clicking it on the stage or in the objects rail on the left. The inspector on the right opens its selected object’s named tab.
- Change Color and Material under Properties. The stage updates as you type.
- Drag the object with the move tool (W), or type a position under Transform.
- Press F to fit the scene to the view.
Every change is one undo step. Press ⌘Z to go back, ⌘⇧Z to go forward.
#Give it motion
Open the timeline with T or the chevron at the right of the timeline controls. Select an object, right-click it, and choose Spin. A track appears with one clip. Press Space to play it.
A behavior is faster than a track for small life. In the inspector, under Behavior, choose Idle and press Add: the object breathes on its own clock.
#Save
Puni saves as you work. The top bar says so, and press Save checkpoint in Version history to keep a version you can return to; an agent’s edits keep one automatically. Press ⌘S to save now.
#Share a link
Press Share in the top bar and choose Share a link…, then press Create new. It makes a link to this exact version; press Copy link. Anyone with the link can watch the scene, orbit it, and, if you allow it, remix it into their own library.
Read Scenes and the library next to see where the scene went and how versions work.
